Who Inspires Me… Peter Lik
If I ever had to define my style as a photographer, I would have to say that I enjoy incorporating colors. Especially colors that really pop and draw your eyes too it. Peter Lik is my inspiration for my love of color. I was in Vegas several years ago with my family and we happened to walk into a gallery of Peter Lik’s photos and my jaw just dropped. The vivid colors and composition just drew my eyes into each photo. Even to this day when I see a Peter Lik gallery, I make a point to walk in and enjoy his photos. Though I can’t afford to have one of his photos hang on my wall, he inspires me to see the colors of the world.
On a recent trip to Maui, I found out that one of my favorite shots that Peter took was taken in a bamboo forest I was planning to visit. Though I don’t come anywhere close to how Peter captures this shot, I was proud to be in the same area where the capture was taken.
