Love Portable Power!
0I’ve been wanting to take my Alien Bee strobe on the road with me but I finally gave in and purchased the Vagabond Mini. This little batter pack is light-weight, portable, and efficient which makes it very awesome and worth every penny. Here’s a quick snap shot of it in use when I was working with Sam this past weekend:

R-Strap Review
0
For any photographers out there looking to buy some accessories for their camera or if you’re looking for a great gift to get a photographer, take a look at the R-Strap. The R-Strap replaces your camera’s clunky default strap with a shoulder sling that attaches to the bottom of your camera. There is better weight distribution across the shoulder and allows easy access to your camera that now hangs from your hip. I’ve had the RS-7 strap sitting in my Amazon wishlist for awhile but my wonderful girlfriend got it for me for Christmas! It comes in very handy when needing to handle two cameras as I found out shooting a wedding this past weekend. It was very easy to switch cameras during the day and having easy access to my primary camera on a moments notice was great. Black Rapid, who manufacture’s the R-Strap, has a ton of accessories as well such as attachment points to stabilize weight distribution and hold extra memory cards. The RS-7 strap is priced at $60 on Amazon. For more info, please visit the Black Rapid website HERE.
Nikon Coffee Cup
1Though Nikon hasn’t officially sponsored this accessory item, its finally nice to have an equivalent to the Canon lens cup that came out months earlier. This cup is going for $50 on eBay which I think is a bit much for a cup even though its shaped like my favorite lens. If anyone wants to buy this for me as a nice gift, please contact me!
Behind the Scenes with Soonka
0It’s always kind of fun to not only look at photos but also see the behind the scenes as well. I usually try to remember to take a setup shot but getting a picture of me taking a picture is even better. Usually I’m on my own and I got too many things to worry about to remember to take the setup shot. Will try harder in the future though.

Here is the setup for the shot above:

A couple more tidbits from this shoot:
- This is the 1st time I’ve done an implied shoot
- This is the 2nd time I’ve shot at this warehouse, first time was with Sadmira
Welcome to the Family!
0I love buying new camera equipment! Thing have been going very well for me on the photography side lately and I’ve made enough money now to invest in a 2nd flash.
I want you to meet the newest member of my Nikon family, the SB-900:
My Nikon Gear
0So in preparation for an engagement shoot tomorrow, I rented a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. This thing is huge! I will be very excited to see how the pictures come out. I couldn’t resist taking a picture of all my gear when seeing this lens on my camera.

One day this thing will be mine…
What I Shoot With
0I shoot with a Nikon D80 which I am very happy with right now. It’s been a great starter DSLR and I will continue to use it until I outgrow it. I shoot primarily with a 18-200 mm lens but also shoot with a 50mm f/1.8 prime lens.
