Test Shoot on the Island
May 30th
I did a fashion test shoot several weekends ago with a local fashion designer on Treasure Island. It was a beautiful day to shoot and we find a nice spot where we could see the San Francisco skyline. I used a SB900 with an umbrella to fill in some of the shadows created by the sun.

Diptych with Soonka
Feb 21st
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted pictures and I have been quite busy for the past couple of weeks so I should have plenty to post soon. I did a shoot this past weekend with Soonka who was a trooper shooting in a cold warehouse while just getting better from being ill. I was trying to go for an edgy designer jeans style ad for this shoot with harsher light and an edgy location.
I’ve really enjoyed creating diptych photos lately and have made a bigger effort to ensure I have the shots I want to create a diptych photo. What is diptych?
A diptych is a photograph that uses two different or identical images side by side to form one single artistic statement.
Expect to see more diptych style photos from me in the future.

N’Damus Update
Feb 3rd
I was very excited this morning to find out that the pictures taken for N’Damus back in November made it into the Fashion website Highsnobette! I feel a great sense of satisfaction knowing that the work that was involved in producing that shoot is being paid off and being published.

Josephine Resort
Jan 31st
I teamed up with an aspiring fashion designer to do a shoot of some of her pieces a couple weekends ago. I’m always amazed by people that can design clothes from scratch. I don’t even know how to sew on a button…
We got a great team together for this shoot and it always makes life easier when there are multiple hands and eyes helping to make sure we get the right shot. It was really cold that morning and much credit is given to the model to be able to compose herself and strike a pose even when every part of her wants to shiver.

Bridal Fashion Show
Jan 11th
I attended the Modern Luxury Weddings Bridal Event at the Ritz Carlton this past weekend and took advantage of a fashion show going on that day. They had some well known brands such as Vera Wang and Monique Lhuillier.

2010 Color of the Year
Dec 24th
As part of my education process towards becoming a fashion photographer, I’ve been trying to pay more attention to fashion trends. I’ve always known that the fashion industry revolved around a specific color every year. What I didn’t know was that a color company, Pantone, was the ones making the decision of what that color would be. I had always thought a council of fashion legends sat around a table and discussed what color to pick for every year. Pantone, regarded as the expert in colors, has selected Turquoise as the color of the year for 2010.

N’Damus Pictures
Dec 16th
As a followup to the video I posted on Sunday are a couple more pictures from the N’Damus photo shoot. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they make it into a London publication.

Behind the Scenes of N’Damus Photo Shoot
Dec 12th
During the photo shoot for N’Damus last month, I had some video taken to capture moments behind the scenes. I’d also like to take this time to thank the team that made this shoot possible as we wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without everyone’s help.
N’Damus Photo Shoot
Nov 30th
I did a product shoot on Black Friday for N’Damus, an English leather handbag boutqiue. It was nice to work with a team of people for this shoot and not have too be a one man show. I could get use to it…
